The man who stabbed and partially blinded novelist Salman Rushdie in 2022 has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday for an attack that also wounded a second man, a district attorney has said. Hadi Matar was sentenced in a western New York courtroom, where a jury found him guilty earlier this year of attempted murder and assault.
